Property Tax Consultant

Position:	Property Tax Consultant
Location:	Houston, TX
Type:	Full-time

We are seeking highly motivated, business-minded persons with strong people skills to join our team.

As a Property Tax Consultant, you will:

• Inspect properties, research market and tax roll data and prepare value workups based on income, cost, market and equity approaches to value,
• Keep abreast of market conditions and trends for a variety of property types by reading publications and attending seminars and industry events,
• Meet with clients to coordinate gathering of income expense, rent roll, occupancy, fix asset and other financial and property related information,
• Manage appeals, negotiate values with assessors, and represent clients before appraisal review boards on real and business personal property accounts,
• Prepare and/or approve business personal property tax returns,
• Coordinate with attorneys on litigated accounts,
• Ensure accuracy of client invoices and reports, and
• Develop new business opportunities.

The successful candidate will possess:

• Bachelor's degree,
• At least five years of prior property tax consulting, fee appraisal or real estate brokerage experience,
• Extremely high level of integrity,
• Outstanding organization, planning, multi-tasking, prioritization and time management skills,
• Advanced problem solving abilities,
• Superior written and verbal communication skills,
• Ability to travel seasonally around the state and within the U.S. to client locations and assessor offices, and
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Our compensation structure includes a base and unlimited commissions designed for you to make $100K-$350K+ by working firm accounts and growing your own book of business.
